So…as another football season starts to draw to a close a brand new blog launches to provide Stoke City fans an alternative view.
Mushy Peas and Gravy wont just regurgitate StokeCityfc.com and won’t try and be another Oatcake.co.uk. It will give an ‘outsiders’ view of all things Potters!
Let me introduce myself…
I’m Tom, I’m 20, I study Broadcast Journalism at Staffs and most importantly…I now regard myself as an honorary Stokie!
I’m nearing the end of my second year in Stoke…and I can quite easily say now I LOVE STOKE CITY FC! Being a north London lad I have always supported Spurs (and still do passionately), however, since I have been here I have become increasingly more interested with the Mighty Potters! I can’t claim to know an absolute history of the club…but I am learning (with help from some of you locals!). If I get anything wrong don’t be afraid to tell me…all comments will be gladly received!
Anyway enough about me, I want to hear your stories.
Email me at mushypeasandgravy@mail.com
Tell me what you think, tell me why you love the Potters and everything to do with them!
Speak to you all soon
Tom
So you would be what us locals call a glory hunter then?
nah only kidding, good luck with the site from all us over on the proper Stoke site.
By the way try and change the tempalte from black to something more red and white!
I’ve often wondered how many (if any) students in North Staffs who come from afar end up supporting Stoke (at least for the few years they are at Uni). Now I know there is at least one!
Good luck with the Blog – we could do with a few more Stoke related sites. The Oatacke is excellent but it needs some quality competition.
I am interested in your take on the immediate future of Mama. Fuller is likely to play when available and you’d have to assume that Shola will be starting alongside him. Given that Lawrence is a must for the right wing that leaves TP with the choice of Bothroyd, Cressy, Mama, Pugh or Gally for the left wing. I’d be inclined to give Bothroyd a chance but what TP will do is a mystery – although none of them are the sort of left winger I would REALLY like to see (Sinclair would have been my choice) at least they are all very different and do give us some options for a plan B and even a plan C!
I’m not even going to try to predict the team for Saturday with Fuller out, I’ll just go along and prepare to be entertained – hopefully!
Good luck with your website.
One question why mushy peas and gravy?
